Re: Selden's short wish list

Okay. The include function became include/append during testing. Still doesn't work the way I really want it to. However, during this I traced part of the randomness to a routine called enumfiles. It reads directories and acts on them in the order returned by the OS. Since every OS will return diffe...

Re: Selden's short wish list

Okay, as for the "Include" function.

I believe I have a starting point.

I will be making a temp fork and adding the keyword to make recursive load calls.
My question however, is should I start with stars or solar system objects.

I do not know which would make it easier for you test with.

Cmod tools.

Okay, the CMOD tools in the source tree are now updated.

Updated to use QT5, VS2013 to compile, Eigen3, and minor fixes.
An archive with QT5 DLL support files are now posted in downloads.
Look for Cmod_QT563.7z, which is designed to stand alone upon extraction.

I hope this helps.

Re: Celestia_Tweaked_171201: extra blank line in lower-right

The extra line results from me leaving some extra room in case I mess up. The code that puts text there is kind of messy, so I made my adjustment to big rather than risking it being to small. That way if something over ran, all it would do is wrap, not end u in a bit bucket. I can reduce it on the n...

Static vs DLL linkages

Okay, here is a fun item of interest. I created VS sln/vcxproj files for all of the Celestia support files. I set them all for use windows directly, and multithreaded. It turns out that QT has some issues with that approach. I am currently experimenting with various approaches to fixing this. LibPng...

Re: Selden's short wish list

Selden. 1. A quick glance through loadsolarsystemobjects shows it may be possible to create a recursive loop in that function. Right now it recognizes 'Add', 'Replace' & 'Modify' keywords. If 'Include' were added to the list, then it may be possible for the routine to call itself replacing the curre...

Why am I doing this anyway?

The answer is simple in one respect, and complex in another. I tried to contact claurel several times after the old forums went down, and I failed. I tried to make my own, and again, I failed. That is life, it happens. Then Alexell did contact him, and got the old forum info. Great, wonderful, nice ...
